sunday night rewind
A record that I still break out from time to time is Best of The Police. Sting could bring it – their music had a unique sound and throught-provoking lyrics. So…I was pretty pumped when we broke out “Every Step You Take” this morning for Bodacious 80’s – even if Angie thought the lyrics were ”stalker-like.”
Byron discussed God’s attention to detail and how that should influence our living. Here are my notes:
- There are 3 instances in Scripture where God provides descriptive detail – the Garden, the Temple, and Heaven.
- They all have one thing in common – they were or are the places specifically designed for us to reside with God.
- As much as God is interested in every detail of our lives, He’s most concerned with the details of our PERSONAL relationship with Him.
- When our circumstances are challenging, we must remember, “We’re just passing through.”
- Even though we’re passing through, our influence will be strongest during trials – Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego.
